Flame Hardening
Eastern Engraving's electronically controlled flame hardener permits fast. economical hardening and normalizing of steel rolls with an exceptionally deep-hardened case and fine-grained surface structure, which results in the same chemical properties as rolls created using water-quench hardening techniques.

Chrome-Plating
Eastern maintains a state-of-the-art chrome plating and polishing facility. Eastern finishes rolls vertically for greater uniformity of plating. Fifteen-foot tanks accept cylinders up to twelve feet long by twenty-inch diameters.

Machine Shop
